We open our studio doors in Topeka, Kansas to welcome you to the opportunity to work with The Sewing Workshop team in a small group environment. The Sew Kansas retreat is your opportunity to expand your skills by trying new sewing techniques, with hands-on guidance from our team.

The retreat will begin Tuesday evening with a private trunk show. Students may take advantage of this time to decide what project to work on – and of course, browse our collection of fashion fabric. Wednesday through Friday are for sewing, shopping, and socializing. We look forward to sewing with you soon!

How to register for Sew Kansas:

1. Select your date preference in the dropdown. 12 spots only per session!

2. Select your sewing machine preference; either rent a machine or bring your own.

3. Pay your initial deposit to secure your spot. The remaining balance and final payment is due 60 days before the event.

Total Workshop Cost: $1200

Non-refundable Deposit: $300 (due at sign-up to secure your spot)

Remaining Balance: $900 will be due 60 days on or prior to event start date and will be requested via email.

Sewing Machine Rental (optional): $100 (Bernina; various models: 350, 550, 400 Series) 1. Bring your Sewing Machine or, 2. Rent a Sewing Machine $100 (limited availability)

Please Note: Due to students varrying needs during Sew Kansas, as some students choose not to sew, we offer optional sewing machine rentals for an additional $100. You can choose to either bring you own sewing machine or rent a machine from the Sewing Workshop during your time at Sew Kansas. Many people do not sew and like to try our patterns on during their time at our studio.

Non-refundable or transferrable deposit due upon registration - $300

Final payment due 60 days before scheduled event – $900

Cancellation Policy

Deposits will be due at the time of registration to secure your spot. Deposits are non-refundable or transferrable under any circumstance. The final payment for the event is 60 days before the scheduled event. Should you cancel on or after the 60-day notice, no refunds will be given.

Travel Insurance

Attendees are required to purchase travel insurance, even if you do not work with a travel agent to make travel arrangements. If a cancellation is made by the participant after the deposit has been paid, the participant will be asked to go through their travel insurrance agency to requet a refund for class fees. Travel insurance can be purchased for travel arrangements and tour fees in order to cover any of your costs if a cancellation is required. You can receive travel insurance for trip costs, not just airline travel. If an unforeseen cancellation by a participant is required, you will be asked to go through your travel insurance company to request reimbursement of your trip fees.
